The CODOFIL Consortium of Louisiana Colleges and Universities was founded by the executive power of the board of directors of CODOFIL. Membership is by invitation and is open to every private or public institution of higher learning in the state of Louisiana. The Consortium has two main functions: to advise the CODOFIL committee on issues related to the teaching and preservation of French in Louisiana, and to represent the consortium members in CODOFIL’s negotiations with other organizations (foreign governments, professional and governmental entities in the United States, and other government agencies).
