The Université Sainte-Anne Scholarship for professionals includes two half scholarships offered by Université Sainte-Anne to attend its French immersion program in Church Point, Nova Scotia, Canada. This scholarship is for either the spring session (May 17 – June 20, 2026) or the summer session (July 5 – August 8, 2026). The program allows participants to improve their French and meet other students from across Canada and the United States. The recipient will promise to speak only French during the university’s immersion session.
Program Description
Applicants must have a strong desire and need to improve their French in order to make their workplaces more “French-friendly.” All the participants are required to speak only French during the immersion session. From Monday to Friday, they will attend two classes in the mornings and participate in a mandatory workshop (blog, dance, music, outdoor activities, souvenir album, etc.) in the afternoons. In the evenings, there are various social activities including band performances and themed evenings. The recipient will have the opportunity to sign up for excursions (beach trip, canoeing, trekking, whale watching, etc.) during the weekends.
What's Included in the Scholarship?
The scholarship will cover half of the program fees, which cover the bus transfer between the Halifax airport and the university, tuition, a room in on-campus residence, meals, sports, and almost all socio-cultural activities. The bus transfer is included in the program cost for the participants who arrive and depart on the designated days as described on the next page. If a participant chooses to arrive and/or depart on days other than the designated ones, they are responsible for paying for transportation between the airport and the university.
The scholarship recipient pays for the registration fee, the other half of the program fees, the passport fee, travel insurance covering medical and repatriation insurance, round-trip plane ticket, and any optional excursions not included in the program.
