Teach French in Louisiana

CODOFIL and the Louisiana Department of Education are recruiting teachers whose native language is French to teach in its PK-8 Immersion programs, as well as in modern language initiation programs.

In order for your application to be considered to teach French in Louisiana, please read the information below carefully and complete the attached application form in its entirety. If you are a French or Belgian citizen, refer to the International Associate Teacher page to apply. 

Requirements

All candidates must:

  • Complete the IAT Application (see below)
  • A letter of motivation where you outline your reasons for your interest in this program, including familiarity with Louisiana and future professional aspirations. You may include any extra information to support your application, such as additional training, work experience, travel abroad, etc. Max 400 words.
  • Provide a curriculum vitae with a recent photo
  • A copy of all of your diplomas and transcripts
  • A certificate or proof of your English proficiency
  • Recent criminal background check dated within the month of your application
  • A copy of your drivers license
  • Include 3 letters of recommendation
    • 1 from your current supervisor 
    • 1 from a past supervisor
    • 1 from a colleague or a reference of your choise
