Lions Club of France Scholarship

A group of students who received the Lions Club of France Scholarship.

The Lions Club of France Scholarship is offered by the Lions Club of France to attend a French immersion program at 1 of 7 international learning centers throughout France. This scholarship is for students between the ages of 18 and 24 to participate in a 3-and-a-half week program designed to develop a student’s French language skills and cultural understanding.

Program Description

Applicants must have at least the B1 level in French according to the DELF standards or Intermediate Mid/High according to the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) standards. The applicants should consult the Lions Club of France’s website for additional information and the application. The Lions Club of France must receive complete applications by March 1, 2026.

The 2026 centers are:

Centre International Francophone Atlantique (CIFA)

  • Age: 18-21 years
  • Location: Parthenay, Bressuire and Sud Deux-Sèvres
  • Theme: “History and nature come together to cultivate a more harmonious world”

Centre International Francophone Culturel (CIFC)

  • Age: 18-21 years
  • Location: La Baule
  • Theme: “Is art essential for life? What place does Generation Z give it?”

Centre International Francophone Centre Loire (CIFCL)

  • Age: 22-24 years
  • Location: Clamecy and the Nièvre region
  • Theme: “Peace and nature: How to reflect better about peace between people in these troubled times, than by recharging yourself in the regional natural park of Morvan then along the Royal River in our majestic Loire”

Centre International Francophone Grand Est (CIFGE)

  • Age: 18-21 years
  • Location: Strasbourg
  • Theme: “Artificial Intelligence at the service of man: a hope for a sustainable future?”

Centre International Francophone Normandie (CIFN)

  • Age: 18-21 years
  • Location: La Croix-Saint-Leufroy
  • Theme: “Normandy, land of freedom between cultures and traditions”

Centre International Francophone Sud Est (CIFSE)

  • Age : 22-24 years
  • Location: Aix-en-Provence, Marseille
  • Theme: “Heritage and traditions, what traces will the digital world leave?”

What's Included in the Scholarship?

The scholarship will cover housing, meals, and activities and visits that are included in the program.

The scholarship recipient pays for the passport fee, travel insurance covering medical and repatriation insurance, round-trip plane ticket, and ground transportation in France.
